Yes. There is no citizenship or residency requirement to own real estate in California. International buyers can purchase property outright. Financing, tax treatment and reporting differ for non-residents, so GG coordinates with lenders, escrow and cross-border tax advisors experienced with international purchases.
Once an offer is accepted, a typical California escrow runs 30 to 45 days, covering inspections, appraisal, loan approval and title work. Cash purchases can close faster, sometimes in as little as one to two weeks. The search itself varies with inventory and how specific your criteria are.
The listing agent represents the seller’s interests, so serious buyers work with their own representation. A buyer’s agent advises on pricing and strategy, writes and negotiates the offer, manages inspections and disclosures, and protects your position through escrow, from first tour to keys.
Escrow is a neutral third party that holds the deposit, documents and funds while the sale’s conditions are completed: inspections, loan funding, title clearance. When every condition is met, escrow records the deed and releases funds, transferring ownership securely to the buyer.
California purchases run through MLS listings, escrow and title insurance, while Dubai transactions register with the Dubai Land Department under RERA regulation, with developer escrow accounts protecting off-plan buyers.
